How It Works
Know what to verify, what to budget and what to sign off when buying used ceramic tile machinery.
I have a machine in mind
Open the equipment record and carry its reference into a brief for quotation or inspection.
Find your equipment recordI need help matching a machine
Share your tile formats, target output, existing line, destination and shutdown window.
Prepare a sourcing briefWhat to confirm at each stage
Follow the KEDA KD3200 example from line fit to site acceptance.
-
01
Define what the line needs
Before moving forwardAgree the target tile format, output, interfaces and shutdown window before shortlisting.
Responsibilities and handover
- Your factory
- Share the tile formats and thickness, target good output, available space, power supply, line height, destination and shutdown window.
- CeramBridge
- Record the requirements and separate must-have constraints from items that still need measuring.
- Inspector or site team
- Confirm access, lifting space and the interfaces with the existing line where a site review is needed.
Record to keep · A sourcing brief with measurable requirements and open questions.
-
02
Verify the specific machine
Before moving forwardConfirm the unit identity, current site and inspection access before arranging a visit or estimating collection costs.
Responsibilities and handover
- Your factory
- Check the model, nameplate and supplied configuration against your brief. Identify any missing tooling, controls or accessories.
- CeramBridge
- Request dated photos, equipment identity, known defects and the supply list. Confirm the current address, whether the unit is still at the factory or in storage, when the location was checked and which tests the site can support.
- Inspector or site team
- Check whether the candidate can fit the existing foundation, utilities and transfer points.
Record to keep · A candidate record with machine identity, scope, condition and unresolved items.
-
03
Inspect and decide what remains at risk
Before moving forwardAgree the test scope and acceptance criteria. Assign any untested items to a later check before approving the purchase.
Responsibilities and handover
- Your factory
- Set test criteria with production and maintenance. Confirm who witnesses and signs the record, and whether independent inspection is needed.
- CeramBridge
- Coordinate agreed access and record observations, test conditions, results, known defects and checks that could not be performed.
- Inspector or site team
- The agreed inspector records what was tested. The destination team confirms which checks can be repeated after installation.

04
Compare the full scope before ordering
Before moving forwardConfirm included costs, exclusions, payment milestones, delivery point and the conditions for releasing the equipment.
Responsibilities and handover

Common questions
Can we arrange an independent inspection?
Request it early. Agree the inspector, access, test conditions, report scope and cost with the supplier before booking.
What can we check if the machine is disconnected?
Confirm identity, visible condition, included parts and accessible interfaces. Request dated operating records if available and agree which functional checks will need to happen later.
Does the equipment price include dismantling or delivery to my factory?
Read the itemized quote for the agreed scope. Confirm the named delivery point and who pays for dismantling, packing, freight, destination handling and site work.
Can installation be included?
Confirm which provider can attend the site, what work is included, who provides lifting and utilities, and who signs off commissioning. Agree the scope in the written quotation.
What if parts are missing on arrival or the trial falls short?
Record the issue against the signed packing list or trial criteria. Use the agreed notice, corrective work and retest process. Confirm responsibilities and remedies in the purchase agreement.
